from 33 reviews I bought this as my second one. I swapped it out while driving. It works. Accessories are available everywhere. The additional tips also work!
So it's definitely worth it. The contact with the stovetop is also very pleasant and quick. Thanks for that!
A perfect solution for trips where you can't empty the toilet regularly.
A quick and uncomplicated solution due to the unnecessary conversion
I stumbled across LooBuddy by chance and am really happy with it. No modifications required, yet it's still self-sufficient.
Tested it for a week now and very satisfied. Nothing stands in the way of three weeks of self-sufficiency in Norway.
Rene and Oliver patiently answered all questions.
You'll have to experiment a bit at first with the assembly (inserting the bag), but it gets faster and better with each emptying.
For larger items, a small plunger and two sheets of toilet paper are helpful for compacting them, since nothing floats and you don't use much water. But everyone can find a solution 😉. I highly recommend it.
Thanks Rene and Oliver for the brilliant idea and support.
So simple and really a great alternative to the chemistry cassette
Very good! My only small issue is with the amount of bedding, which I'm still getting under control.
Our LooBuddy was used for the first time. We tried a few different options: a pitch at the campsite near the washroom with chemical disposal and about 200m from the garbage collection point, meaning a quick poop in the LooBuddy during the night and a big poop in the washroom. This worked well as intended with super granulate gel if you wanted to walk the 200m. It's important to use enough powder so the gel can fully form. If you're feeling confident, you can also dispose of the bag in the washroom toilet without gel, or better yet, in the chemical toilet collection point. We do this without flushing, but with an organic fragrance in the tank and an organic cleaning spray for the bowl (both from Fritz-Berger). It's also important to make the opening on the slider as large as possible with the bag inserted, otherwise the paper won't slide through cleanly - see the current tip from Rene & Oliver. Otherwise: LooBuddy works well as expected, regular emptying is important because the tank is slightly smaller than the original chemical toilet, the bag requires a little extra effort and care in preparation, but with a little practice: everything is fine.
We've used the LooBuddy several times now and are very happy with it. We had to practice a bit with the correct handling of the bag, but we got the hang of it pretty quickly ☺️ Since we often camp independently (often at private campsites or often at festivals), the subsequent search for a disposal station is finally a thing of the past 🥳. The capacity may be a bit smaller (at least that's how we feel).
But then we'll just swap more often. All in all: top!!!!!!
We're very satisfied, even though it's only half the size of the original cassette. It's very flexible, though. We use the original when we're camping, and the LooBuddy when we're self-sufficient—it's simply fantastic.
It's not exactly cheap, but considering the trade fair price, it's acceptable. It also saves on having to make any modifications to the vehicle.
Thank you.
The supplied parts are of good quality, the system is well thought out and the installation is professional.
We can't say anything about its use yet, as it won't be used until mid-April or early May.
Great idea. No longer dependent on waste disposal stations.
Very friendly and competent contact person for questions.
100% recommendation.
I purchased the LooBuddy for my C200 and am completely satisfied. It's super easy to use (after the second use). I can only recommend it.
Thanks for the ingenious invention...the bags take a bit of practice, but otherwise, it's a first-class concept. Our motorhome isn't designed for winter camping, but thanks to LooBuddy, we drove to Italy from January 5th to January 9th, 2025, and were able to easily be self-sufficient...if I could give it 10 stars, I would.
I'm very satisfied with the installation and handling. The videos are very helpful, and questions are answered quickly via email.
The disposal rhythm corresponds to that of my cassette toilet, which I empty when only half full due to its weight.
Emptying is disgusting!
Be careful when changing the bag: A sealing ring may come loose. It can easily be pushed back in.
You should experiment with the absorbent gel. You may need to give it some time between the last use and emptying.
Emptying the trash while traveling in Germany isn't so easy outside of parking and camping sites, as often only wastebaskets with a small slot are available. But you'll always get rid of the bag somewhere...
All in all, the LooBuddy is the ideal solution for me during winter (when I drive with an empty water tank) and on the go. I like to use the original cassette alternately at campsites. I find disposing of it in the general waste a bit inconvenient, and there are usually convenient facilities for emptying the cassette.
We tested the Loobuddy for two weeks. Disposal is really easy, eliminating the need to search for a place to empty the cassette tank. Inserting the bag correctly takes practice at first.
Thanks LooBuddys for this invention :-) It works perfectly - you do have to experiment a bit at first to insert the bag. But once you get it right, it's really easy. We weren't at a campsite for two weeks to empty it, and it worked great. I can only recommend this thing!
